Discover the perfect style

For your body type

At CYELL, we are discovering, measuring and fitting swimwear for all different body shapes for over 25 years. We believe, that for every body shape there is the right style. Whatever your bust, tummy or hip size is, feeling comfortable in swimwear is all about your perfect fit. We explain the most typical body shapes and which swimwear style is the most flattering for each.

Cyell, once you know...

The pear shape
Narrower upper body, bigger hips and thighs

Look for swimsuits and tankinis in bright colours to emphasize your upper body, along with eye-catching patterns or detailing on the top half.
If you prefer bikinis: the more subtle the better,
so look for designs in just one colour.

The apple shape
Bigger waist area, slim legs

A one-piece swimsuit will elongate your upper body visually, and design features like vertical stripes, dark colours and slight gathers or draping on the sides, could look great on you. A tankini is also a good choice if you are an Apple body shape. If you like the support of full bra cup coverage, consider a swimsuit or bikini top with wide straps or a tankini with a triangle or halter neck top. Tip: If you feel a little self-conscious about your tummy you could try a swimsuit with a shaping effect or perhaps tie a sarong or skirt around your hips.

The hourglass shape
Evenly proportioned with a narrow waist

Almost any swimsuit style will work for you but particularly designs that emphasize your waist and can give your bust sufficient support. You could consider highlighting your hourglass figure even more with a wrap over swimsuit or a high waist bikini bottom, both are particularly flattering.

The V shape
Wider shoulders, small hips

Choose a bikini bottom in bright colours and a bikini top in a solid, dark colour. Or choose a bottom with striking details such as ruffles or bows. If you have a bigger cup size, it’s a good idea to wear a top that is supportive enough. Opt for a wired top or a bandeau. Tip: Are you wearing a adjustable bikini bottom? Secure the bows on the front of your hips for a flattering effect!

The square shape
Small with subtle curves

To add some more curves where necessary, you can choose a bikini top with a push up effect. Or opt for a top with striking ruffles and/or prints to create more volume. Or the trusted triangle top! To add more curves on the hips, the best choice is an adjustable bikini bottom with a low waist. Optical, this creates more volume!
