Fantasy banana cakes
A recipe made for sharing
Ingredients:
- 200 g oatmeal
- 3 bananas
- 3 eggs
- 6 tbsp honey
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 pinch of salt
Other supplies needes:
Festive cake moulds such as the turban shape on the photo
Decoration for the styling of the plates, such as;
Physalis fruits
Blueberries
Strawberries
Passion fruit
Banana
Chocolate Easter eggs
Kumquats
Dried flowers
Powdered sugar
Edible ‘ink’ (here is used caramel, but another option is chocolate or strawberry sauce!)
Method:
1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees
2. Mix the oatmeal in a food processor or blender
3. Add the bananas, the eggs, the honey, the baking powder and the pinch of salt and mix again
4. Stir well and then spoon the mixture into the moulds
5. Bake in 45 minutes until golden brown in the oven, to check if the cakes are done, you can put a skewer in it. Does it come out clean? Then they are done!
6. Let the cakes cool and then place them on small plates
7. The decorating can begin!
8. Cut the Easter eggs and passion fruit in half and slice the banana, strawberries and kumquats
9. Decorate each plate with a Physalis, a half passion fruit, a few halved Easter eggs and some fruit
10. Dust the cupcakes with powdered sugar
11. Write a message or, for example, a name on the plate with the edible ‘ink’
12. Place the small plate on a bigger plate and place some dried flowers on it
13. Your festive Easter banana cake is now complete!
